چکیده

C-cross topologies are introduced. Modifications of the Kuratowski-Ulam Theorem are considered. Cardinal invariants add , cof, cov and non with respect to meager or nowhere dense subsets are compared. Remarks on invariants cof(nwdY ) are mentioned for dense subspaces Y ⊆ X.

Cardinal invariants of monotone and porous sets

A metric space (X, d) is monotone if there is a linear order < on X and a constant c such that d(x, y) 6 c d(x, z) for all x < y < z in X. We investigate cardinal invariants of the σ-ideal Mon generated by monotone subsets of the plane. Since there is a strong connection between monotone sets in the plane and porous subsets of the line, plane and the Cantor set, cardinal invariants of these ide...

Counting topologies

1 Statement of results Write |M| for the cardinal number of a set M and let P(M) denote the power set of M , P(M) = {X | X ⊂ M}. If |M| = κ then |P(M)| = 2 . In particular, c = 2א0 where as usual א0 = |N| and c = |R|. For any transfinite cardinal κ let κ+ denote the least cardinal number greater than κ . (For example, א0 = א1, א1 = א2, . . .) Naturally, κ < κ+ ≤ 2 . Neither κ+ = 2 nor κ+ < 2 is...

Cardinal invariants related to permutation groups

We consider the possible cardinalities of the following three cardinal invariants which are related to the permutation group on the set of natural numbers: ag := the least cardinal number of maximal cofinitary permutation groups; ap := the least cardinal number of maximal almost disjoint permutation families; c(Sym(N)) := the cofinality of the permutation group on the set of natural numbers. We...

We introduce and study oscillator topologies on paratopological groups and define certain related number invariants. As an application we prove that a Hausdorff paratopological group G admits a weaker Hausdorff group topology provided G is 3-oscillating. A paratopological group G is 3-oscillating (resp. 2-oscillating) provided for any neighborhood U of the unity e of G there is a neighborhood V...
